So the furnace is in and running. What an improvement! The radiators are heating up much faster, and the hot water is hotter and higher pressure. Just got to pay for it now then!

Hot Hot Heat
We are having a new heating furnace installed today, the workmen are banging around down in the basement.
The old furnace was leaking water into the burner, I found this out after filling the stupid thing twice a day.
We are told that the new one is Energy Star certified and will save us 15-20% on our heating costs. In New England this can only be a good thing. With the price we are paying for the new furnace, I hope so.

Behind the times
We are finally watching Caprica season 1. Thanks to Netflix we are catching up on no end of stuff that kids TV doesn’t leave time for.
I did catch part of Caprica on SiFi and was pretty impressed, after watching episode 1 I’m still pretty imressed (my wife also to my surprise).

Slave to the cable
The cable went out last night.
Internet, TV, Phone (Voip), Netflix (Streaming). It was a nightmare, we have become so reliant on high speed cable internet that a loss of service is scary, very scary.

Gourd knows
We went pumpkin picking this weekend and got dusty, dirty and sick of pumpkins. The little one had fun ofcourse and there was a number of play areas on the farm, but at $15 a person I should think so.
A good time had by all at the end of the day, and a nasty hang over in the morning.
Good gourd.

On the road again
Travelling south is almost time travel in terms of the seasons, it's still like late summer down here as opposed to early autumn in the north east. Later I shall visit Wegmans, the supermarket of the gods and maybe buy some oysters. Fahn fahn fahn und der autobahn.

Anyone Have A Clue?
There are several ways of approaching any conundrum when seeking a solution.
One method is to research the background of the situation in hand, consider the current status and then project forward the theoretical outcome of your decided course of action. This is known as the "bollocks to it, toss a coin" principle. I have generally been very successful using this method. Luck though, as with the world supply of fossil fuels, tends to expire. Therefore I have now switched to the second possible method….
The very boring but somewhat more productive methodical nose to the grindstone type thing.
So, does anyone have a clue? I don't.
